רק שבועיים לפני שחרור המשחק, Activision ו-FreeStyleGames חשפו 12 שירים נוספים שיכללו במשחק הקצב המחודש Guitar Hero Live.
לפי דברי החברה, ברשימת השירים שתתווסף למשחק, נמצאים 12 שירים ממשחקים קלאסיים שהופיעו במשחקים שונים בסדרה, בנוסף ל-34 השירים האחרים שהוכרזו בחודש מאי, בחירה מאוד מצומצמת של שירים שיופיעו במוצר הסופי.
FreeStyleGames הכריזה בנוסף על העלאת פלייליסט ל-Spotify , שיוכלו השחקנים להשתמש בה במשחק, שתעדכן לסירוגין ככל שתתקרב לשחרור המשחק הסופי.
